In December I posted about the Austin Osman Spare artwork sold by Fulgur Limited.1 New sketches have been released from the collection of Ernest Chapman, collector and friend of Spare.
The sketches date from between 1953-1955, and include “a series of pencil drawings in the sabbatic theme that include images of metamorphosis and pan-sexual tension now familiar to admirers of the artist”.
Nearly twenty items were on offer, but, once again, they’ve sold or been reserved for sale almost immediately after publication on Fugulr’s website. Take a look while you still can here.
